PIN Bluff: crack his secret code
You each hide a secret PIN of 3 to 6 digits, then take turns dialling guesses at the other's. A right digit in the right spot clicks into place. Crack his code in fewer rounds than he needs for yours and you win; crack each other in the same round and it is a draw.

You each hide poison on the other's plate of momos, cake, burgers, pizza or sweets, then take turns biting. Every poisoned bite costs a heart. The fun is the second-guessing: does he avoid the piece you would obviously poison, or the one next to it?

One of you secretly picks a start letter, the other the end letter, and you race to a real word that fits. On one phone you each have a buzzer and there is no clock; online you can add one. Your partner accepts or rejects your word, so expect arguments about what counts.

You each hide a word of 3 to 15 letters and race to unscramble the other's in fewer tries. Pick something only he would get, like the place you had your first date. Stuck players can ask for a letter's position or a clue.

Send three statements in the morning; he guesses the lie whenever he gets a minute. The delay helps, because he will think about it more than he would in a live round.

Think of a person, place or thing; he gets twenty yes-or-no questions. Pick something from your shared life rather than a celebrity and it doubles as a memory game.
Emoji riddles
Three to five emojis that describe a film, a song or a date you went on together. A wrong guess about a shared memory is a conversation in itself.
