What is Scramble Words?
You each hide a secret word for the other, then race to unscramble each other’s in fewer tries. It is quick wordplay shaped by your vocabulary, shared references and inside jokes.

Step by step
How to play Scramble Words
1Pick the rules
Choose how many hearts you each get and what the loser owes. A coin toss decides who tries first.
2Hide a word for each other
Each of you types a secret word and can add an optional hint. The letters scatter across your partner's screen.
3Put the letters back
Drag the scattered letters into place. Every wrong try costs a heart.
4Ask for help
Stuck? Ask your partner to reveal one letter's position, or to write you a clue without spelling the word.
5Solve it first
First to unscramble the other's word wins. If the first player solves it, the second still gets one last try to tie.
How you win
You win by unscrambling your partner's word in fewer tries than they need for yours. You always get the same number of tries, so if you both solve in the same round it's a draw. Out of hearts? Your partner plays on alone.

Tips to win at Scramble Words
Pick a word only you two share
A pet's name, a place you went or an inside joke. They know it, but they won't expect it.
Longer isn't always harder
Long words often hide easy endings like ING or TION. A short word with odd letters can be tougher.
Solve from the end
Look for common endings and pairs first: ING, ED, ER, TH, CH. Then build the start.
Save the hint
A revealed letter helps most once you already have a guess half built.
Write a sideways clue
When they ask for a clue, make it true but not obvious. "Where we watched it" beats "a beach".
