1. Introduction
LoveYug (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is developed and operated by Aashish Regmi(“I,” “me”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, with whom it is shared, and your rights regarding your personal data.
By downloading or using LoveYug, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide

2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google / Apple: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique user identifier from those providers.
- RevenueCat: Purchase status, entitlement data, and subscription lifecycle events from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to train machine learning models outside our own services.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share your data only in the following circumstances:
4.1 Your Partner
Relationship profile data (your display name, gender identity, nickname) is visible to the partner you explicitly connect with inside the App.
4.2 Service Providers
We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf:

4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the App, its users, or others.
4.4 Business Transfers
If the App or its assets are acquired or transferred, user data may be part of the transferred assets. You will be notified via the App or email before data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Advertising
Free-tier users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) to serve personalized ads.
- iOS:The App requests permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before accessing your IDFA. You may decline, and non-personalized ads will be shown instead.
- Android:You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's Google Settings → Ads.
Premium subscribers do not see ads and are not subject to ad-related data collection by AdMob.
6. Local Data Storage
Certain data is stored locally on your device using SQLite (Drift) and system preferences:
- Cached game questions for offline play
- Daily play counts and session quotas
- Streak data and last-played dates
- Preference settings (game mode, theme, etc.)
This data never leaves your device except as part of normal app operation with our servers.

8. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, couple pairing, and game history from our servers. Local data is cleared upon account deletion within the App.
To request deletion if you cannot access the App, email privacy@loveyug.com with subject “Account Deletion Request” and include your registered email address. We will process your request within 30 days.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Passwords are never stored; authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with hashed credentials.
- Auth tokens are stored in secure device storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS.
- Row-level security policies restrict database access to authorized users only.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
LoveYug is rated 13+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@loveyug.com and we will delete that information promptly.
11. Your Rights
11.1 All Users
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time
Contact privacy@loveyug.com to exercise these rights. We will respond within 30 days.
11.2 European Economic Area and UK Users (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you additionally have the right to:
- Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
- Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Lodge a complaint: With your local supervisory authority (e.g., ICO in the UK, or your national DPA in the EU)
11.3 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold
- Delete personal information we have collected from you
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell personal information
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
Categories of personal information collected (as defined by CCPA):
- Identifiers (name, email, device ID)
- Internet or network activity (usage, game events)
- Commercial information (purchase history)
- Inferences drawn from the above

12. International Data Transfers
LoveYug operates globally. Your data may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. If you are in the EEA or UK, your data may be transferred to countries that may not have the same data protection laws. Such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
13. Push Notifications
The App may request permission to send push notifications for game invites and activity updates. You may disable notifications at any time via your device settings. Disabling notifications does not affect core app functionality.
14. Links to Other Services
The App may link to third-party services (e.g., social sharing). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Review their privacy policies before using them.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via an in-app notice or email at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
