Quick answer
LoveYug has three couple widgets. Now shows what your partner is doing and when it ends. Vibe shows both your moods side by side. Day Story lays both your days out on one large tile. Now and Vibe are free on iPhone and Android Home Screens; the Lock Screen widgets and Day Story come with Premium.
| Widget | What it shows | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Now | Their status, a note, time left | iPhone, Android, iPhone Lock Screen |
| Vibe | Both moods, from 19 | iPhone, Android, iPhone Lock Screen |
| Day Story | Both days, side by side | iPhone and Android, large |
A text asks for a reply. A widget doesn't. Glance at your phone and you know Juno is on a coffee break until 10:30, that she's missing you, and that you've both got the sunset walk at 17:30. That's the whole idea.
Each of you sets a status or a mood in LoveYug, and it lands on the other's Home Screen. Nothing is guessed or tracked: the widget shows what you chose to share, and only to the person you paired with.
The three widgets
Drawn here the way they look on a phone, with Milo and Juno, the app's demo couple.
Now: what they're up to
Their status, a short note and how long it lasts, with the medium size showing you both. Coffee, working, gym, commuting, asleep: 23 statuses, or write your own.
Partner status widgetVibe: how they feel
Pick one of 19 moods, from Missing You to Grumpy, and it shows on their phone with a face drawn for that feeling. When you both pick the same one, the tile says “Same feeling ♡”.
Couple mood widgetDay Story: both your days
Your day and theirs in two columns, what's happening now highlighted, and the plan you share at the bottom. Made for different schedules and different time zones.
More about Day Story
Try it: send Juno a mood
Pick a mood on Milo's phone and watch it land on Juno's Home Screen. On real phones it takes a moment longer.
What's your mood and vibe?
Made for long distance
Their time, not yours
When you're in different time zones, Day Story shows your partner's local clock above their column, with “tomorrow” or “yesterday” when your dates differ. No more mental maths before you call.
Know when to call
Now shows how long a status has left. “Working, till 17:00” tells you when they're free without a single message.
A little presence
Missing someone is easier when their mood is on your Home Screen and yours is on theirs. It's the small check-in that doesn't need an answer.
iPhone, Android and price
Every widget works on both platforms. Lock Screen widgets are iPhone only.
| Widget | iPhone | iPhone Lock Screen | Android | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Now | Small, medium | Yes (Premium) | 2×2, 4×2 | Free on the Home Screen |
| Vibe | Small, medium | Yes (Premium) | 2×2, 4×2 | Free on the Home Screen |
| Day Story | Large | No | 4×4 | Premium |
Free widgets use Automatic colour, which follows your partner's day and the time. LoveYug Premium adds a choice of 12 colours.
How to add a LoveYug widget
Set it up in the app first, then add it from your phone's widget gallery.
Pair with your partner
Both of you install LoveYug and sign in. One of you sends an invite link; the other taps it.
Choose it in Little Us
In LoveYug, open Little Us and tap Add a widget. Pick Now, Vibe or Day Story and how it looks.
Add it to your Home Screen
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, open the widget gallery, find LoveYug and add the one you set up.
Step-by-step guides: iPhone, including the Lock Screen and Android.
What your partner sees
Only what you share
A widget shows the status, mood or plans you picked in LoveYug, and nothing it worked out on its own. It doesn't read your location, your messages or your other apps.
Only your partner
Your status and mood go to the one person you paired with. Unpair and their widget stops showing you.
Statuses end on their own
A status comes with an end time. When it's over the tile says it ended, so “Gym” doesn't sit on their screen all evening.
No mood advice
Vibe says what's on the tile and stops. It never tells your partner what your mood means or what to do about it.
Couple widget questions
What is a couple widget?
A Home Screen or Lock Screen widget that shows your partner instead of the weather: what they're doing, how they feel or what their day looks like. LoveYug's update when your partner changes them, so you can check in at a glance.
Is there a couple widget for Android?
Yes. Now, Vibe and Day Story all work on Android Home Screens, at 2×2, 4×2 and 4×4. Android has no Lock Screen widgets for LoveYug; those are iPhone only.
Do we both need the LoveYug app?
Yes. You both install LoveYug, sign in and pair with an invite link. A widget shows the partner you paired with, so it stays empty until you're connected.
Are LoveYug's widgets free?
Now and Vibe are free on the iPhone and Android Home Screen. LoveYug Premium adds the Lock Screen widgets on iPhone, the large Day Story widget and a choice of 12 colours; free widgets use Automatic colour, which follows your partner's day and the time.
How quickly does the widget update?
When your partner changes their status or mood, LoveYug sends your phone an update and the widget redraws, usually within moments. Phones can hold updates back in Low Power Mode or Battery Saver; opening LoveYug brings it up to date.
Can my partner see where I am?
No. LoveYug's widgets don't use your location. They show only what you choose to share: a status, a mood and the plans in your day. On Day Story your partner sees your local time when you're in different time zones.
Can we use the widgets if we live together?
Of course. Couples who share a home use Now to see who's cooking or still at the gym, and Day Story to line up two busy days. Long-distance couples use the same widgets to feel a little closer.
Is there a days-together or anniversary widget?
Not yet. Your anniversary, days together and other dates live in Our Dates inside the LoveYug app, with reminders before each one; the website's days together calculator uses the same count.
