What is Pin Bluff?
Both partners hide a secret PIN, then take turns guessing the other's code. Right digits click into place, and the first to crack the other's PIN wins. Pin Bluff mixes deduction, bluffing and friendly competition in a game made for exactly two people.

Step by step
How to play Pin Bluff
1Agree on the rules
Pick the code length, whether found digits stay locked, whether wrong-spot hints are on, and what the loser owes.
2Hide your PINs
Each of you sets a secret code. On one phone, the other person looks away while you type it.
3Dial a guess onto their lock
Your partner's code is a padlock with one wheel per digit. Roll the wheels to your guess and try it.
4Read the wheels
Right digit, right spot: the wheel clicks gold and stays put. Wrong digits shake and roll back. Use what you learned on the next guess.
5Open the lock first
The first to crack the other's PIN wins a title for how they played, and the loser signs an IOU.
How you win
You win by cracking your partner's PIN in fewer rounds than they need for yours. If you both crack each other in the same round, the game is a draw.

Tips to win at Pin Bluff
Skip the dates they know
Birthdays, your anniversary and their door code are the first things a partner tries. The game even has a title for cracking one on the first guess.
Or use one as bait
That's the bluff. A date so obvious they rule it out can survive longer than a random number.
Repeat a digit
Digits can repeat, and most people guess four different ones. A code like 7 1 7 4 hides well.
Change every wheel early
Your first guesses should test as many new digits per spot as possible. Keep a digit only once it has clicked.
Start with hints on
Wrong-spot hints make the first games friendlier. Turn them off when you both want a harder read.

Is PIN Bluff like Mastermind or Bulls and Cows?
Yes, it's the same family of code-breaking games, played head to head. Both of you hide a code at the same time and race to break the other's. With wrong-spot hints on, the clues work like Mastermind's.
Can we play PIN Bluff long distance?
Yes. Choose online play and each of you uses your own phone. Guesses and clues show up live on both screens.
Can a PIN repeat digits?
Yes. A digit can appear more than once, and a repeated digit is a good way to slow your partner down.
How long is a game?
Most games take a few minutes. Longer codes and hints switched off make them last longer.
