Quick answer
To add a LoveYug widget on Android, pair with your partner and choose the widget in the app's Little Us tab. Then touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Widgets, find LoveYug, and hold Now, Vibe or Day Story and drag it onto your screen. Let go, and it fills in with your partner.
Before you start
- LoveYug installed and signed in on both phones
- You and your partner paired
- The widget added in Little Us → Add a widget
Android names things a little differently from phone to phone, but every launcher has the same three moves: hold the Home Screen, open Widgets, drag one out.
Add it to your Home Screen
Set it up in LoveYug
Open LoveYug, go to Little Us and tap Add a widget. Choose Now, Vibe or Day Story and how it looks.
Touch and hold your Home Screen
Press an empty spot until a menu appears.
Tap Widgets, then find LoveYug
Scroll or search the list for LoveYug and open it to see its widgets.
Hold one and drag it onto your screen
Now and Vibe come as 2×2 and 4×2, Day Story as 4×4.
Let go
It's on your Home Screen and fills in with your partner.
Resize and move
Stretch it
Touch and hold the widget, then drag the handles. Now and Day Story resize both ways; Vibe stretches sideways.
Move it
Hold the widget and drag it to another spot or screen.
No Lock Screen on Android
Android phones don't offer Lock Screen widgets for LoveYug, so all three live on the Home Screen.
If the widget is blank or shows a message
LoveYug's widgets say why they can't draw yet, and each message has one fix.
- “Set this up in LoveYug”
- Open LoveYug, go to Little Us and add the widget there first. The tile on your Home Screen fills in once it's set up.
- “Pair with your partner”
- Widgets show your partner, so you need to be paired. Send them your invite link from the app.
- “Sign in to LoveYug”
- Open the app and sign in with the account you paired on.
- “Premium widget — tap to unlock”
- Day Story and the Lock Screen widgets need LoveYug Premium. Now and Vibe on the Home Screen are free.
- “Update LoveYug to see this”
- Your partner is using something newer than your copy of the app. Update LoveYug from the App Store or Google Play.
- “Open LoveYug to refresh”
- The phone held back an update, often in Low Power Mode or Battery Saver. Opening the app brings the widget up to date.

Free widgets use Automatic colour, which follows your partner's day and the time. LoveYug Premium adds a choice of 12 colours.
Android widget questions
Is there a couple widget for Android?
Yes. LoveYug's Now, Vibe and Day Story widgets all work on Android Home Screens. Many couple widget apps are iPhone first; LoveYug ships the same three on both.
Why doesn't LoveYug show up under Widgets?
Open LoveYug once after installing it, then look again. On some phones the list is alphabetical with a search box at the top.
My widget stopped updating. What do I do?
Battery Saver and some phone makers' battery settings hold back background updates. Open LoveYug to refresh it, and allow LoveYug to run in the background in your phone's battery settings.
Are LoveYug's widgets free?
Now and Vibe are free on the iPhone and Android Home Screen. LoveYug Premium adds the Lock Screen widgets on iPhone, the large Day Story widget and a choice of 12 colours; free widgets use Automatic colour, which follows your partner's day and the time.
Do we both need the LoveYug app?
Yes. You both install LoveYug, sign in and pair with an invite link. A widget shows the partner you paired with, so it stays empty until you're connected.
