A Locket alternative for couples

Locket shares photos. LoveYug shares what your partner is up to, how they feel and how their day looks, and adds games you play together.

Quick answer

Choose Locket if you want live photos from your partner and up to 20 friends on your Home Screen. Choose LoveYug if you want a couples widget that says what your partner is doing and until when, how they feel and how both your days look, plus seven two-player games. They do different jobs, so many couples use both.

Locket's magic is a photo that appears when you unlock your phone. LoveYug's widgets don't share photos at all: they share the little facts in between. Coffee until 10:30. Missing you. Gym, then the sunset walk at 17:30. And when you've got five minutes together, there's a game waiting.

Which one should you pick?

  • Locket is the better pick if…

photos are the point: you want to see your partner's face when you unlock your phone, and share with close friends too.

  • LoveYug is the better pick if…

you want to know whether they're free, how they're feeling and what their day looks like, without a photo, and to play games together.

  • Can we use both?

Yes, they don't overlap much. A Locket photo and a LoveYug Now widget side by side tell you a lot about someone's day.

What your partner sees in LoveYug

  • Only what you share

A widget shows the status, mood or plans you picked in LoveYug, and nothing it worked out on its own. It doesn't read your location, your messages or your other apps.

  • Only your partner

Your status and mood go to the one person you paired with. Unpair and their widget stops showing you.

  • Statuses end on their own

A status comes with an end time. When it's over the tile says it ended, so “Gym” doesn't sit on their screen all evening.

  • No mood advice

Vibe says what's on the tile and stops. It never tells your partner what your mood means or what to do about it.

LoveYug vs Locket questions

Can LoveYug's widgets show photos?

No. LoveYug's widgets show a status, a mood and your day. For photos on the Home Screen, an app like Locket does that job.

Is there a couples-only version of Locket?

Locket's listing describes a Best Friend widget that shows photos from just one person. LoveYug is couples-only by design: you pair with one partner.

Does LoveYug work on Android?

Yes. All three LoveYug widgets and all seven games work on Android as well as iPhone.
