A Paired alternative that plays

Paired is built around a daily question and expert-written exercises. LoveYug is built around games you play together and widgets that keep you close.

Quick answer

Choose Paired if you want a guided daily question, quizzes and exercises written with relationship experts; its Premium is $79.99 a year per couple. Choose LoveYug if you'd rather play: seven two-player games on one phone or live from two, plus status and mood widgets, free to start with an optional Premium.

Paired and LoveYug both get two people talking, from opposite ends. Paired starts with a question a day and builds towards insights and exercises. LoveYug starts with play, a poisoned plate, a code to crack, a race to a word, and lets the conversation follow. Many couples want a bit of both.

  • Can we use both?

Yes. Answer Paired's question in the morning, settle who owes breakfast in bed over a LoveYug game at night.

What your partner sees in LoveYug

  • Only what you share

A widget shows the status, mood or plans you picked in LoveYug, and nothing it worked out on its own. It doesn't read your location, your messages or your other apps.

  • Only your partner

Your status and mood go to the one person you paired with. Unpair and their widget stops showing you.

  • Statuses end on their own

A status comes with an end time. When it's over the tile says it ended, so “Gym” doesn't sit on their screen all evening.

  • No mood advice

Vibe says what's on the tile and stops. It never tells your partner what your mood means or what to do about it.

Does LoveYug have daily questions?

LoveYug has question games instead: Would You Rather and Never Have I Ever, where you both answer in secret and reveal together. The website also has free question lists for couples.

No. LoveYug is games and widgets for fun and closeness. If you want guided relationship exercises, an app like Paired, or a professional, is the better fit.
