A NoteIt alternative for couples

NoteIt is a widget for doodles and photos. LoveYug's widgets say what your partner is up to, how they feel and how their day looks, and the app adds games you play together.

Quick answer

Choose NoteIt if you want to draw a note or send a photo straight to your partner's or a best friend's Home Screen. Choose LoveYug if you want a couples widget that shows what your partner is doing and until when, how they feel and how both your days look, plus seven two-player games. They do different jobs, so many couples use both.

NoteIt is one widget done well: open the app, scribble a heart, and it's on their Home Screen. LoveYug's widgets don't carry drawings. They carry the little facts in between, like coffee until 10:30, a mood, or both your days side by side, and when you've got five minutes together there's a game waiting.

Which one should you pick?

  • NoteIt is the better pick if…

a hand-drawn heart or a quick photo is the point, and you want to send them to your best friends as well as your partner.

  • LoveYug is the better pick if…

you want to know whether they're free, how they're feeling and what their day looks like at a glance, and to play games together.

    See LoveYug's widgets
  • Can we use both?

Yes, they barely overlap. A NoteIt doodle next to a LoveYug Now widget says both "thinking of you" and "free at six".

What your partner sees in LoveYug

  • Only what you share

A widget shows the status, mood or plans you picked in LoveYug, and nothing it worked out on its own. It doesn't read your location, your messages or your other apps.

  • Only your partner

Your status and mood go to the one person you paired with. Unpair and their widget stops showing you.

  • Statuses end on their own

A status comes with an end time. When it's over the tile says it ended, so “Gym” doesn't sit on their screen all evening.

  • No mood advice

Vibe says what's on the tile and stops. It never tells your partner what your mood means or what to do about it.

LoveYug vs NoteIt questions

Can I draw on LoveYug's widgets?

No. LoveYug's widgets show a status, a mood and your day. For drawings and photos on a Home Screen, an app like NoteIt does that job.

Does LoveYug have streaks like NoteIt?

No. There's no streak to keep alive and nothing to buy back if you miss a day.

Does LoveYug work on Android?

Yes. All three LoveYug widgets and all seven games work on Android as well as iPhone.
